Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Senior Technical Director within our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage existing ETL code bases from several projects and streamline data integration efforts from across teams and contracts into a single controlled process and code repository.
  • Be responsible for making scheduled data deliveries to the client's data warehouse, report on the status of all data delivery, resolve technical and administrative issues with data sources and test the state of warehouse objects to ensure they are ready for analysis.
  • Respond to requests for assistance with using data sources and provide metadata, guidance and code for analysts using data integrated by our projects.
  • Meet with client stakeholders and assess needs for data to plan the next rounds of data acquisition or creation of data products with data already in the warehouse catalog.
  • Maintain a backlog of data gaps and use a repeatable methodology to rank and score data gaps to prioritize needs and plan analysis.
  • Design and create masked versions of data warehouse objects that conceal PII and grant access to those objects to the appropriate user groups. The applicant will discover and track PII fields and assist the client in designing access control groups and data security.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in information management or relevant field.
  • 20+ years of data management experience
  • 15 + years of advanced skill in the following technologies, but not limited to: Advanced SQL, SAP IQ, DBA, Bash, Automation, Cron, Airflow, and Python
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively translate sophisticated concepts into easily understandable language.
  • Good interpersonal skills to lead groups and negotiate and build consensus regarding future goals.
  • The ability to conceptualize holistic architecture solutions that address the needs of an organization as a whole and comply with enterprise standards.
  • The ability to manage and facilitate technological change
  • A solid understanding of existing and emerging data technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of good systems design
  • Innovative thinking to devise solutions that address the gap between business needs and technological constraints
  • Experience managing projects as well technical teams with 10 + employees.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $157,900 to $254,400.
