Job Title: Accountant OR Bookkeeper

Degree - Associates or Bachelors - REQUIRED
Industry: Manufacturing, Construction, Supply chain or logistics
FUNCTIONS:
1. Prepare various bank reports monthly
2. Enter and post monthly Journal Entires to the General Ledger.
3. Prepare account analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts
4. Prepare for year-end audits
5. Prepare monthly financial statements
6. Maintain chart of accounts
7. Prepare and review all financial reports and statements to comply with internal and external reporting requirements
8. Prepare and review daily bank deposits, monitor cash flow and review cash requirement reports
9. Perform additional Accounting Department functions as assigned
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Coordinate auditing functions with banks and other financial institutions.
2. Oversee monthly physical inventory and analyze problems in inventory. Insure accurate entries of information in the system.
3. Analyze payroll and sales tax. Ensure proper payment.
4. Monitor cash disbursements and cash receipts with banks and financial institutions.
5. Reconcile monthly bank accounts and resolve problems, discrepancies, inconsistencies directly in coordination with accounts. Determines appropriate corrective actions and procedures.
6. Analyze weekly payroll reports and compare to spreadsheet submitted to payroll processing company.
7. Interact with various division management regarding company accounting functions and procedures.
8. Communicates and coordinates accounting policies, practices and procedures with company divisions, department managers, vendors, clients, customers, co-workers, etc.
9. Will lift and carry up to 20 pounds for distances of up to 40 feet (e.g. paper boxes, books).
10. Assist accounts payable staff with invoice processing when needed.
