Accounts Payable Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our logistics organization. In this role, you w ill Models AP processing best practices, train and support AP Specialists on an ongoing basis, handle escalations and complex problems, and coaching team on vendor relationship maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processes invoices, including legal and non-PO types.
• Perform vendor reconciliations, manage payment schedules, and supports weekly check runs and corporate expense reconciliations.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements, support paperless AP initiatives, document procedures, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize operations and maintain compliance.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including AP accrual reviews, resolve aged items and credit balances, and ensure accurate GL entries for transactions and expense reconciliations.
• Train and support AP Specialists, handle escalations and complex issues, and coach the team on vendor relationship management.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of A/P for a mid to large sized company
• 1-2 years at a lead or supervisory level
• ERP - they use MS Dynamics GP
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel
