We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join an established accounting firm in Rockville, MD. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by managing the front desk and handling administrative tasks.   • Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 based upon experience
  • Type: Direct Hire, permanent role
  • Location: Fully on site in Rockville, MD

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to internal staff.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the company.
  • Assemble tax returns and other critical documents.
  • Prepare monthly bills using Microsoft Word.
  • Oversee the ordering and inventory levels of office materials.
  • Manage the distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain the calendar for conference room meetings and other events.
  • Ensure the office environment is welcoming and professional for clients and staff.
  • Greet clients warmly and professionally when meetings are held in the office.
  • Email the daily schedule to staff and executives.
  • Assist with filing and organizing client documents.
  • Handle 1099s and other relevant tasks during tax season.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, receptionist, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office management systems and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
