Description:

Dartmouth's Hood Museum of Art offers a unique opportunity to engage with one of the oldest and most extensive college art collections in the country, bringing together over 65,000 objects from diverse artistic traditions across six continents. Since its opening in 1985, following the vision of benefactor Harvey P. Hood, the museum has been a hub for learning, cultural exploration, and community engagement. Its rich history includes iconic works like the Assyrian stone reliefs and José Clemente Orozco's renowned fresco, The Epic of American Civilization, now a National Historic Landmark. Following an expansive renovation in 2019, the museum has reaffirmed its commitment to offering an inclusive and thought-provoking environment for students, faculty, and the public.
