Position Summary:The Coordinator advises, coordinates, and provides logistical support for W&M Civic & Community Engagement's AmeriCorps program. The Coordinator will handle the member lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, continuous training, placement, and member exits. This will include processing background checks, scheduling and training accountability, timesheet management, and AmeriCorps site coordination and communications. The Coordinator serves as the Liaison between Civic & Community Engagement, AmeriCorps sites, and the School of Education.

Required Qualifications:* Experience with managing administrative processes (may include approving timesheets, processing background checks, creating and maintaining records using spreadsheets or other tracking software )
* Experience with MS Office applications and comfort with new technology
* Strong organizational skills for the coordination and implementation of programs
* A bachelor's degree in an education-related field
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience working in a K-12 school or out-of-school time program
* Experience working with university students and/or volunteers
* Interest in and knowledge of social justice issues in education and commitment to engaging with them
* Driver's License

Advertised Pay Range:$21 per hour
