Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable processes, from invoice processing to reconciliation and vendor management. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong foundation in accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full cycle accounts payable, including verifying, coding, and entering invoices accurately and promptly.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
- Prepare weekly check runs and manage electronic payments.
- Maintain vendor relationships, responding to inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all AP procedures.
- Assist in month-end closing by preparing accounts payable accruals and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any invoice discrepancies.
Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years of experience processing full cycle accounts payable, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Other: Knowledge of legal billing and expense management systems is a plus.
