RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client located in Beaverton, OR that is looking for an Apparel Costing Manager whose work is focused on Material Costing, and Material Development.Summary:We are looking for an innovative individual capable of identifying, crafting, and approaching material costing through an enterprise lens, while also effectively communicating with global teammates, working cross-culturally and valuing differences. The ideal candidate will bring a curious mindset, proactive approach, and a critical focus on cost transparency. The candidate needs to be organized, detail oriented, and thrive in problem solving environments.What will you work on:As an integral part of the Material Costing team, you will be the lead facilitating Costing capabilities for new palette materials, creating and maintaining ongoing tools, and executing cost consolidation programs for maximum ROI. You will be responsible for translating raw materials market data into negotiation targets, creating negotiation, and costing strategies, conducting cost execution with key suppliers, tracking seasonal development cost progress, and capturing value through operational reporting. The Apparel Costing Manager will need to unlock aggregated volume across similar materials to expand multi-source capabilities while improving finish goods COGs margins.Who will you work with:You will work closely with Materials Costing leadership while driving a critical x-functional partnership with Material Sourcing, Partner/Materials Management, Operations, Finance and Global Business Planning teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of Material Costing, Finance, Material Development experience or 6+ years of Sourcing, Manufacturing, Operations, or Supply Chain
  • Leadership and proven independent project management experience a must
  • Knowledge of footwear/apparel construction, material manufacturing, and costing preferred
  • Exposure to raw material commodity markets and forecasting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Smartsheet, Jira, Miro, and Tableau
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills preferred
  • Knowledge of Alteryx, SQL, and Python a plus
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through change, collaborate, and ability to gain buy-in for business plans
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment with a strong attention to detail and process orientation
  • Experience investigating, capturing and maintaining material/product data in an information management system
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally, including the ability to collaborate with and influence all levels of management
  • Team player, proactive, flexible and with a desire to learn and grow
  • Cultural awareness and a champion for diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Ability to travel 5%


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
