Assistant Bookkeeper - Miami
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. You will assist with verify financial records and transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process Accounts payable, post invoices, assist with checkruns
- Accounts Receivable, Cash posting, invoices
- Responsible for assisting with the general ledger
- Maintain, reconcile, and report on the petty cash
- Maintain an accurate and organized file system.
- Prepare report data for the Executive Director to ensure timely compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Executive Director as requested.
- Respond to questions and requests for information from grantors, reporting agencies
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or AA Degree in Accounting or Business administration a plus
- Knowledge of nonprofit bookkeeping - 3- 5 years of experience
- QuickBooks, Sage and Excel expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand financial data, processes, and procedures
- Perform job responsibilities in an efficient and timely fashion.
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Accounting Software
- A high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
