General Schedule
Position typically works Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm in-office at UCO's main campus in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Position Overview
Coordinates the activities of a program that meet the needs of the organization's target population and that are in alignment with the organization's stated mission. Interacts with staff, leaders, and community members. Develops and manages assigned client relationships in a manner consistent with policies and procedures. Creates, maintains, and updates assigned program schedules for contract deliverables and key events. Provides key financial data to the Manager on a timely basis. May create presentations or marketing material for the program. May coordinate or supervise program projects or events. May oversee the administrative duties/function of a program. Plans and coordinates meetings on project timing, goals, and budget to ensure fulfillment of internal and customer expectations and compliance with policies and contractual requirements. Ensures that all services provided are in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. May participate in community outreach or fundraising. Makes recommendations regarding process and procedure change. Provides input into budget development and may be responsible for monitoring to budget. Handles moderately complex issues and problems. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. Typically reports to a department head or manager.

Specific Essential Job Functions

  • Manages the DSS Testing Center.

  • Coordinates alternative print requests and production. (Includes contacting publishers, scanning and conversion of print-based material into accessible formats).

  • Oversees database management with regard to alternative print, and assistive/adaptive technology and provides statistics as requested.

  • Creates and/or conducts training sessions regarding the use of assistive/adaptive technology for students and training sessions regarding accessible material for the UCO Community.

  • Researches, evaluates, creates and recommends innovative assistive/adaptive technology resources and tools in accordance with federal and state law for ADA stations and serves as a resource for the university community.

  • Provides problem solving strategies for DSS computers as well as maintains assistive/adaptive technology located at ADA workstations, including reporting and coordinating repairs and upgrades to IT.

  • Hires, trains and supervises lab technical student workers to assist in completing essential job functions as needed.

  • Ability to have a flexible work environment as determined by supervisor after any required probationary period

Qualifications Required
Requires a bachelor's degree in a job-related field or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in a chosen field that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results.

Qualifications Preferred
Preferred master's degree in a job-related field or 7+ years of equivalent work experience. American Sign Language certification (QAST Level IV-V or NIC).
