The Exploratory Biology group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced cell culture scientist to conduct basic research and help establish assays that will investigate rare neurological diseases and advance therapeutic candidates. The primary job responsibility will focus on the development, maintenance, and utilization of cellular models of rare neurological diseases. Prior experience with cellular models should include some or all of the following: human iPSCs and iPSC-derived 2D neuronal cultures, mixed neuronal/glial models, 3D spheroid/organoid models, and using CRISPR tools to introduce defined genetic changes into these models. The incumbent will also be expected to participate in the development and optimization of cellular assays to advance our understanding of rare neurological diseases and advance therapeutic candidates.
