Automotive Detail Shop Manager - $65-70k/yr.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of a 7-bay detail shop.
• Perform daily opening and closing duties.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and manage detail shop staff, including detailers and car runners, while handling discipline when necessary.
• Effectively coordinate and assign work tasks.
• Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
• Manage relationships with vendors to ensure the shop is fully stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
• Provide driving, detailing, and additional services as required.
• Lead and supervise the detailing team to deliver exceptional service.
• Use expertise in car wash, detailing, and buffing to train and guide team members.
• Plan and coordinate schedules and workflow to meet customer demands efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and building operations are properly maintained.
• Apply strong management skills to optimize operations and achieve business objectives.
• Collaborate with the Hyundai Service Director to address staffing, process, or operational concerns.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; an Associate's degree in a business-related field preferred. A two-year degree from an automotive school is an advantage.
• 1-2 years of management experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn dealership-specific platforms like X-Time.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Must be self-driven, detail-oriented, organized, and able to lead others while possessing strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license required, with the ability to meet the dealership's driver eligibility criteria as determined by the insurance company.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a retail or dealership detail shop is preferred.

Additional Information:

• Pay Range: $65k-$70k
• Schedule: M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm(approximately 45 hours/week) Must be available to both open and close the shop each day.
