The Research Coordinator I will be a part of the Patient Engagement Team to conduct engagement, enrollment and retention activities for the All of Us research program. Additionally, the position will occasionally require research activities, such as recruiting participants, assisting in the arrangement of focus groups by contacting participants, administering surveys, collecting data, obtaining informed consent, basic data analysis, coordinating activities with the research team, and other tasks as assigned.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PATIENT ENGAGEMENT TEAM
- Utilize effective recruitment methods to drive enrollment and retention rates
- Print and distribute recruitment postcards and mailers and process the responses
- Identify, engage and screen patients for eligibility and enroll them in the All of Us research program and any ancillary studies
- Provide patients with a thorough g overview of the All of Us research program, or ancillary study and answer all questions
- Use the Teach Back Method to assess patients' understanding of the All of Us research program, or ancillary study
- Obtain informed consent for IRB approved protocols
- Administer surveys and record data
- Use data to monitor interventions and outcome
- Perform basic biometrics (e.g. waist circumference, weight, blood pressure)
- Assist patients with biospecimen collections and processing
- Schedule appointments for patients to complete All of Us research program enrollment and retention activities
- Conduct phone and in person outreach and engagement activities on a daily basis, with occasional outreach through email or mailings, to inform patients of study activities and schedule patients to complete activities.
- Raise awareness among patients and the local community about about the All of Us research program through various mechanism that include but not limited to attendance in community events, waiting room outreach, educational sessions, distribution of customized marketing products
QUALIFICATIONS- Required Skills and Education
- Undergraduate with at least two years into BS program or Associates degree in a related healthcare field or 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Bilingual, oral and written (Spanish/English)

- Knowledge of participatory research and working with community

- Required Licenses/Certifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to independently travel often to health center satellites and participate in recruitment events in the community independently (Eastern or Western Region)
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and approach patients in waiting areas and common public spaces
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Must be able to carry laptop and recruitment materials as part of recruitment activities
WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS
- Travel to multiple sites
- Occasional mornings, evenings and weekends as needed
- Confidentiality of business information is a requirement. Confidentiality must be maintained according to CHC policies
- Human Subject Protection Training is preferable but not required
- Phlebotomy trained is preferable but not required
- Excellent oral and written skills are required
