Budget and Financial Reporting Analyst (nonprofit)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and maintain knowledge of financial and budgeting policies, procedures, and practices, including month-end and year-end close processes.
* Work with program staff to create, modify, and monitor revenue and expense budgets, ensuring accuracy for executive review and approval.
* Support domestic and international projects with multiple donors by tracking and managing financial reporting and donor spending compliance.
* Lead the budget renewal process and ensure timely submission and uploading of all budget templates into PeopleSoft modules.
* Analyze budget variances, highlight areas of concern, and propose solutions to address financial discrepancies.
* Collaborate with program staff and the Philanthropic Partnership Group to develop donor budget proposals and prepare donor financial reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least 4 years of accounting/finance experience.
* Expertise in MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and data importing/exporting.
* Experience with grant, contract, project, or donor cost accounting is a plus.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (PeopleSoft Financials preferred) and experience with Tableau reports is desirable.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and customer service skills, with a focus on business process improvement.
* Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to staff and management effectively.
