Business Analyst II

Location: The ideal candidate will be based within 50 miles of the preferred Elevance Health locations: ID- Idaho, GA- Columbus. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites (major offices) used for collaboration, community, and connection. This position will be primarily in the office 1-2x a week.

AmeriBen is a proud member of the Elevance Health family of companies. We are a third-party administrator (TPA) of medical benefits, also providing medical management, human resource consulting and retirement benefits administration services.

The Business Analyst II will be responsible for translating basic business needs into application software requirements.

How you will make an impact:

  • Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs.
  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
  • Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Jira, including proficiency in workflows and navigation is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing data feeds, both incoming and outgoing. Including but not limited to; 834/Eligibility data feeds, claims data feeds, and accumulator data feeds is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding and proven experience in vendor management is preferred
  • analytical and problem-solving skills is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment is preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines is preferred

For URAC accredited areas, the following professional competencies apply: Associates in this role are expected to have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
