Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Business Systems Analyst position will analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems. This role involves examining user requirements, procedures, and issues to automate or enhance current systems while also reviewing computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA.

Pay Rate: $40.24 - $57.49

Responsibilities:
  • Support organization system change and configuration management efforts.
  • Serve as a process point of contact for the organization.
  • Install ChangeGear patches and new versions as released by SunView.
  • Troubleshoot software errors, software workflow issues, SQL database issues, and interface issues with Change Management System (CMS).
  • Report software defects to SunView.
  • Update configurations, which includes adding/removing fields, creating/updating list, forms, workflows, and tasks.
  • Support system modeling.
  • Draft, recommend, and document new processes and procedures as required.
  • Facilitate and support process and procedure roll-out.
  • Draft and implement training as required.
  • Support ongoing compliance with those processes and procedures.
  • Support organizational requirements to meet compliance as it relates to change management.
  • Draft and document processes and procedures to support the following security requirements:
  • North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Mandatory Reliability Standards
  • Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP)
  • Department of Energy National Institute of Standards and Technology/Federal Information Security Management Act (NIST/FISMA)
  • Draft training materials and job aids to support compliance with NERC-CIP and NIST/FISMA standards.
  • Participate in the development of necessary documentation to support reporting and audit requirements.
  • Provide quality assurance and verification for the organization to help verify compliance to the above referenced standards and guidelines.
  • Provide support to the NERC annual certification process and any other spot audit or compliance requests.
  • Work associated with this position will be directly related to business process support for systems change management processes and compliance requirements for the organization. With manager oversight and approval.
  • Review and validate that configuration management policies and procedures provide thorough requirements traceability through version release and adequate documentation to support system operation and maintenance.
  • Prepare and conduct program presentations, in-house and client training, and functional education.
  • Develop and present recommendations and supporting analysis for management decisions.
  • Prepare technical reports, documents, studies, and system documentation as required.
  • Confer with system users to document and solve existing system problems.
  • Assist with developing and documenting processes and procedures to support NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) Mandatory Reliability standards CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) and Department of Energy NIST/FISMA (National Institute of Standards and Technology/Federal Information Security Management Act) security requirements:
  • Assist with developing training materials and job aids to support above.
  • Support the development of necessary documentation to support reporting and audit requirements.
  • Provide quality assurance for organization to verify compliance to above referenced standards and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Computer/Information Technology, Business Systems, Engineering or a directly related technical field is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
  • 7 years of experience is required with an applicable associate degree.
  • 9 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
  • Experience includes business systems analysis, demonstrated analyst experience in Change and Configuration Management in a controlled IT environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with SharePoint sufficient to build and maintain document libraries and lists.
  • Experience applying NERC CIP and NIST/FISMA standards/guidelines.
  • Project management and Software development Lifecycle methodologies.
  • Systems development, application of compliance standards and maintenance environments.
  • Experience with the design and implementation of security standards, policies or procedures in a high availability environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Visio and MS Project.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
