Your new company

Our client is an established yet boutique GC/ CM based in New Jersey that offers construction services for corporate clients focusing on commercial interiors including tenant and landlord projects. A need has arisen to bring on an Estimator to support the department & assist the company in reaching future goals.

Your new role

As a Construction Estimator, you will analyze and interpret architectural / design plans, performing material take-offs, ability to write clear scope of work descriptions and proposals for all trades along with leveling bids. You will follow and track multiple construction projects throughout the pre-construction phase, working closely with the Project Management departments. Be able to provide value engineering expertise and be able to prepare conceptual estimates from preliminary drawings.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you should have at least 3+ years' experience within construction, ideally within a cost management or estimating capacity. Holding a construction related degree is preferred along with having excellent phone manner and organizational skills with knowledge of MS Office, specifically in Excel. Having experience with Pro-Core or On-Screen take-off would be a plus.
