Job Description
The Data Analyst provides operations architecture support to include infrastructure and application-level monitoring, system design and enhancements, troubleshooting and program release support. The Data Analyst also supports the evaluation of proposed system change requests providing technical expertise and helping to assess risk. The Data Analyst develops Python dynamic reports and develops analytics. Provides expertise to build reporting capabilities. The Data Analyst provides statistical support which is needed support performance testing and testing of non-functional requirements.
The Data Analyst may also apply process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and internet-related methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects. Responsible for transitioning of existing organizations or project teams in accomplishing the organization's goals or project activities and objectives through improved use of automated processes. The Analyst may support activity and data modeling, development of modern business methods, identification of best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Build and execute queries against production databases to support various data analysis and reporting requirements.
* Gathers requirements, creates and maintains reports and provides detailed analysis of the data. provides detailed analysis of data from various sources and reports on the findings
* Provide statistical analysis and modelling support for of the performance engineering.
* Provide statistical analysis and modelling support for Reliability Maintainability and Availability (RMA) metrics
* Develops and maintains predictive models for performance and workload analysis
* Maintains, develops and recommends process improvements based on data needs while ensuring consistency and quality of the reports/deliverables.
* Maintains, develops, and implements policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and reporting.
* Participates in the evaluation of new technologies to ensure data analysis and visualization tools used are in line with the industry standard.
Education & Experience
* Bachelors degree or higher and 6 years of experience
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate working knowledge with several of the following concepts or technologies:
* Statistical Modeling and Data Mining
* Python
* SQL language
* Postgres Database
* Oracle Database
* Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Statistical education and/or experience
* Expert MS Excel
* Database Architecture

* None
Security Clearance
* Candidate must possess DHS Suitability background investigation or be eligible to qualify for DHS Entry of Duty background investigation followed by DHS Public Trust Clearance.
