Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for designing and developing our data interfaces within the warehousing domain. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual contributor who can lead design discussions, make informed decisions, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish canonical data models.

• Extensive expertise in warehousing and supply chain concepts.
• Profound understanding of system design principles and data architecture.
• Demonstrated experience with Databricks, data governance, and best practices in data engineering.
• Strong coding abilities with a track record of conducting thorough code reviews.
• Excellent documentation skills to ensure clear and comprehensive project records.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead initiatives as an individual contributor.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and engage in design discussions, providing valuable insights to guide design decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define canonical data models.

• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and Databricks.
• Conduct detailed code reviews to uphold quality and best practices.
• Promote code reusability across various projects.
• Utilize Unity Catalog for effective data governance and compliance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all aspects of data engineering solutions.

Technical Skills Required:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience with data modeling tools and frameworks.
• Strong grasp of data engineering concepts with hands-on experience in Databricks.
• Familiarity with system design concepts relevant to data architecture.
• Knowledge of data governance practices, including the use of Unity Catalog.
