DevOps Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to lead the modernization of our cloud infrastructure. Initially, our cloud setup replicated our on-premises servers, utilizing only limited cloud services. We need an expert who can leverage the full potential of cloud technologies to optimize our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Modernization: Transform our cloud infrastructure to fully utilize advanced cloud services, moving beyond basic replication of on-premises setups.
• Development Methodology: Collaborate with the development team to evolve our methodologies in line with cloud capabilities.
• Infrastructure as Code: Implement and manage infrastructure using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Cloud Services: Utilize AWS services such as EC2 and CI/CD pipelines to enhance our cloud environment.
• Team Leadership: Lead and grow a team of DevOps engineers, including both onshore and offshore members.
• Application Migration: Oversee the migration of four major applications to the cloud, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.

Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud technologies and their practical applications.
• Experience: Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, CloudFormation, EC2, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team and manage complex projects.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify and implement workable solutions that leverage cloud technologies effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
• Automation: Experience with automation tools and techniques.
• Security: Understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
