What You'll Do

  • Solve our client's most strategic initiatives leveraging cloud-based, modern data and analytics solutions
  • Drivesales, client delivery, and team operations in data visualization, analytics engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
  • Mentorand develop consultants of all skill and experience levels
  • Direct the building of our rapidly growing analytics teams as part of data and analytics practice

What You'll Bring

You come from a background in building and leading consulting teams focused on business intelligence, data visualization, data science, AI, and ML. You bring a healthy mixture of business consultant and analytics enthusiast to help clients across business functions see how analytics-driven solutions can transform their businesses. You thrive in client-facing consulting environments and have a proven track record of building and sustaining relationships that drive business.

You are curious and smart; a leader with a passion for learning new and emerging technologies in the space, and take ownership to get things done. You plan but are adept in improvisation and adjusting in fast-paced environments. You are highly adaptable and willing to wear several hats. You are just as comfortable leading large teams as you are diving into code. You are driven by solving your client's issues and dedicated to building engaged and connected teams. You can envision and communicate solutions to our client's most complex problems and are happy presenting to an executive audience. You are comfortable solving highly critical problems and are excited to bring your A-game to work for our clients. You bring your energy and passion to work every day.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Proficiency in modern data architectures and relational database design and development
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery)
  • Proficiency with data visualization and analytics platforms (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Sigma, or Thoughtspot)
  • Experience with data science platforms (Dataiku, Data Robot, H2O.ai, Jupyter Notebooks, Sagemaker, AzureML, or Tensorflow)
  • Proficiency with programming languages (Python, Spark, Scala, or Go)
  • Experience leading teams of analytics engineers, data analysts, and data scientists on projects
  • Proficiency with data management techniques (master data, data quality, data governance)
  • Experience with agile ceremonies, project execution, and solution delivery
  • Proficiency with product development lifecycles (CI/CD, DataOps, MLOps, QE)
  • Proven track record of selling and delivering $5M+ in professional services
  • Proven track record in managing team members including defining clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations
  • Proven track record handling difficult client and team member situations, leveraging clear and concise communications that respectfully resolve the conflict
  • Proven track record of setting team strategy and collaborating with peers to enable organizational success
  • Excellent board-room presentation skills and senior client stakeholder management skills across the end-to-end client relationship
  • Passionate about learning new technologies
Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years of data architecture and business intelligence experience in consulting
  • Cloud platform certification(s)
  • BS or equivalent, in Math, Computer Science, or an applied quantitative field
  • Experience working with clients from various industries to drive critical business outcomes

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the targeted base salary range is $190,000-$235,000. In addition, individuals will be eligible for an annual and/or quarterly discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
