We are seeking a talented Engineer III to join our dynamic AEC team. In this critical role, you will be supporting environmental projects and assist internal clients from project inception to project closeout. Responsibilities:

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serves as task lead for environmental activities and coordinates the efforts of support staff.
  • Assists with the development of standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Ensures compliance with internal procedures and external policies (e.g., federal/government regulations).
  • Interfaces with clients (internal and external), regulators, property owners, and other project stakeholders to ensure site access and work schedules are understood and accepted.
  • Reviews and summarizes analytical data, and develops conclusions based on the results.
  • Provides Field Management on large-scale projects. Some travel will be required.
  • Applies a working knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA to all necessary projects.
Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree engineering, geology, earth sciences, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communications skills for environmental consulting applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in engineering, geology, earth sciences, or a related field.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training and current 8-hour refresher. Other OSHA training (30-hour construction) is valued.
  • Experience working on Department of Defense sites.
  • Experience preparing draft work plans and reports.
  • Experience with the operation of remediation systems and environmental sampling equipment.
  • Professional licensure (PE or PG) or the ability to receive professional licensure within the first year or two of employment.
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, crawling, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of 35 pounds or more. If required, individual must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to; hard hats, safety-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Job is performed in a combination of office work, work throughout occupied and unoccupied buildings, and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Building assessments will be conducted throughout buildings including crawl spaces, attic spaces, and confined spaces. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
