About the job
As the Events Marketing Specialist, you will lead the planning and execution of conference activations and events, both in-person and virtual. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project management, from concept to completion. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders, creating events that reflect the core values and objectives of our company. You will work closely with business leaders and members of the marketing and communications team across the organizations to develop and execute events to generate revenue and maximize customer engagement. This role will work with business leaders to propose, manage and execute all marketing activities including but not limited to content development, trade shows, customer events, and webinars that will generate leads and sales.
As a part of the team, you will:
- Oversee the end-to-end planning of conference activations and events, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management, to ensure flawless execution.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with partners and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of event objectives.
- Liaise with vendors for venues, catering, A/V, and more, ensuring high-quality service within budget parameters.
- Oversee the execution of events on-site, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
- Organize and manage internal company events such as open houses, team-building activities, holiday parties, and customer/employee appreciation events.
- Conduct post-event analysis, including gathering feedback and providing detailed reports on event success and areas for improvement.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining the quality of the experience.
- Propose new ideas to enhance the attendee experience and drive engagement through interactive, innovative elements.
What you know:You have a bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field, or have equivalent work experience. Additionally, you have:
- 5+ years of experience in conference and event management.
- Proven experience in managing both large-scale conferences and intimate corporate events.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent vendor management and budgeting skills, including pricing negotiation, invoicing, and recordkeeping.
- Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage expectations effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead presentations and meetings.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Experience in virtual and hybrid event management is a plus.
- Experience working on a cross-functional marketing team is preferred.
