About The Role :
A Finance Analyst in the Finance Leadership Development Program will perform entry-level finance assignments and develop knowledge of Caterpillar's procedures, philosophy, customers, dealers, organization, and financial practices.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Our Finance Professionals deliver a wide range of financial management directions and services to a variety of business partners including suppliers, subsidiaries, business units, dealers, and customers.
The Finance Analyst role will allow you opportunities in a variety of finance-related areas which may include:
- Manage multi-currency cash assets and bank accounts
- Manage foreign exchange/commodity risk
- Administer an investment strategy for our multi-billion-dollar retirement fund
- Analyze the financial strength of suppliers
This role will lead and support projects to conclusion by compiling information, analyzing data, recommending and implementing solutions, and providing information and analysis used to make and/or influence business decisions.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business-related fields
- Minimum 1 year of job-related experience in Treasury/Finance
Skills needed for success in role: - Financial Markets : Knowledge of the products, types, competitors, customer base, major issues and regulatory considerations in the financial markets; ability to apply financial market knowledge to various business environments.
- Financial Analysis : Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Planning and Organizing : Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
- Communicating Complex Concepts : Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
- Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Additional Details: - This position is located at Peoria, IL; Nashville, TN; or Dallas, TX
- Candidates must be willing to relocate if necessary
- Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
- Professionals within the program must be willing to travel as needed.
- Flexible work environment with hybrid approach of both in-person and online work
Summary Pay Range: $87,480.00 - $131,280.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
