Salary: $45.00 USD Hourly - $50.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Financial Systems Specialist in the Alpharetta area.
12 month contract to hire

2-3 days onsite

The Financial Specialist supports users of accounting applications and contributes to the development of procedures, applications, and reports.

Key Skills:

SQL, Dynamics GP Version 2015 and Workday

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Financial System Administration (50%)

• Administer and provide end-user support for accounting and related information systems.
• Develop and maintain financial and operational reports.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and enhance accounting procedures to improve accuracy and close processes.
• Manage and optimize accounting functions such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable in Workday.
• Develop, test, and support integrations between Workday Finance and other systems to ensure seamless data flow.
• Automate routine financial processes using Workday tools and other platforms for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Accounting and business teams to resolve system and process issues effectively.

Reporting and Analysis (50%)

• Document report processes and train users to generate and interpret reports.
• Configure new user accounts, install necessary software, and resolve login or access issues.
• Troubleshoot posting errors, data discrepancies, and error messages.
• Collaborate with accountants to reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger differences.
• Resolve data issues using tools such as GP utilities, GP routines, and SQL.
• Troubleshoot software issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
• Design and manage Workday custom reports and calculated fields.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of experience in financial systems administration or a related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP and working knowledge of Workday Finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to improve processes and systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
• Familiarity with tools such as GP utilities, SQL, and Workday reporting.
