Food Safety Quality Manager

Salary: $115,000.00 USD Annually - $150,000.00 USD Annually

Key Responsibilities:

• Beef Manufacturing Experience Required
  
• Oversee quality assurance through process controls and vendor feedback on incoming materials.
  
• Lead research and development of packaging, products, equipment, and software related to production and food safety.
  
• Conduct third-party audits and bring in experts to review and improve findings.
  
• Regularly inspect supplier facilities and review processes, procedures, and quality standards.
  
• Stay updated on food safety regulations and best practices to ensure company compliance.
  
• Communicate promptly with senior management about any issues impacting the meat operations group.
  
• Analyze process controls to identify improvement opportunities.
  
• Perform other relevant duties as needed.
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years in meat operations or a beef-focused facility.
  
• HACCP certification.
  
• Strong understanding of USDA-FSIS regulations and compliance.
  
• Proficient in beef regulatory affairs and food safety best practices.
  
• Advanced degree in animal science, microbiology, food science, statistics, sanitary equipment and facility design, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Proven leadership and team collaboration experience.
  
• Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  
• Proficient in computer skills, trending, and statistical analysis.
  
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
