We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper skilled in multi-entity accounting and proficient in QuickBooks to join our finance team and support our diverse portfolio of businesses.
Position Summary: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks across multiple entities, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in handling complex bookkeeping for multiple entities using QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for multiple entities within QuickBooks, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor management, invoicing, and payment processing.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and inter-company transactions across multiple entities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes for all entities, including preparing financial statements and reports.
- Monitor cash flow across entities, ensuring funds are allocated as needed.
- Assist with preparing and supporting audits, as well as tax reporting for each entity.
- Work closely with senior accountants and management to provide financial data and insights for strategic decision-making.
- Continuously improve and streamline accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, with specific experience in managing multi-entity accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) is required; experience with other accounting software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and multi-entity reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with QuickBooks required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
- Experience with financial reporting and inter-company transactions
