St. Charles Community College is looking for a Grant Writer/Specialist to assist in Workforce and Community Education Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist with grant proposal development and submission preparing and organizing materials for proposals and monitoring status of submitted proposals, activities could include: Assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation. Writing, creating, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, graphics, tables, conclusions, and organization credentials. Maintains quality results by using templates; preparing logic models; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases. Coordinating submission of grant applications. Exploring and research funding opportunities and fulfill site visit requirements. Maintaining master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and correspondence. Maintaining library of grant support documents including resumes, bios, etc. Work with Implementation team to maintain grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement and grant budgets including: Monitoring and maintaining funder reporting schedules and requirements. Assisting implementation team in drafting compelling progress reports and targeted program updates. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of federal, corporate, foundation and/or other professional granting/funding sources. Knowledge of granting/funding sources and application processes. Writing, research, and verbal communication skills. Interpersonal/human relations skills. Ability to listen and develop information into grant/funding applications. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, maintain confidentiality, and to pay attention to detail. PREFERRED QUALIICATIONS:

Three to five years of experience including grant writing preferred.
