As a Grants Intern with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, you will gain valuable work experience in projects related to grants, including federal rules, best practices, developing training, and documenting workflows. You will assist with processing grant invoices, providing funding updates, and managing related workflows.

DHHS offers a fast-paced supportive learning environment, working with a variety of internal and external customers.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; data search-engines or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications: Some post-secondary education in business, finance, public affairs, or public administration.

Other: Must be currently enrolled in a college or university.
