Job Title: Information Security Engineer (Contingent Resource)

Location: Roanoke, TX

Job Description:

As an Information Security Engineer in this contingent resource assignment, you will:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Information Security Engineering.
• Review and analyze multifaceted, large-scale, or long-term Information Security Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented elements.
• Contribute to resolving complex situations by applying a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Note: This role focuses on security deployment and policy automation and is not a Cyber Security operational role.

Required Skills:

• Automation with Python: 2-4 years of experience
• GitHub: 2-4 years of experience

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto.
• Industry-recognized security certifications.
• 5+ years of experience in information and network security.
• 4+ years of software development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, Java, Ansible, and GitHub.
• Fundamental knowledge of networks and networking.
• Advanced knowledge of information security and security principles.
• Extensive experience with firewall and IPS technologies.
• Experience with automation/management tools such as XSOAR, Skybox, and Ansible.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
