Job Description
This manager position will report to the Ingalls' IT Director of Application Development and Maintenance and be responsible for application development and maintenance.
The selected manager will be responsible for providing:
- Leadership in application life cycle management and maintenance with experience in leading technical teams.
- Proven history of on schedule, on budget delivery of IT projects.
- Proactively engage with cross functional teams to provide actionable insights for making process improvements; while ensuring overall alignment to the IT strategy
- Responsible for management and support of a portfolio of applications (SAP, Contracts/E&P applications, MOOR, Badge Management, Livelink, EDAN, etc). Ensure system availability requirements, patches, upgrades and compliance deliverables are met.
- Responsible for complying with cybersecurity requirements for patching and vulnerability remediation
- Responsible for complying with SOX controls
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline, plus a minimum of 6 years of applicable IT work experience and experience in leading technical teams.
Must be a current Ingalls employee
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software development lifecycle, agile methodology, low-code platforms.
- Experience with external and executive level presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills and communication skills
