Service Technician/ Deployment Tech

Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Performs PC computer and laptop repair, imaging, and deployment services within the amount of time specified by the contract with the client, TVA.
• Travels as needed between TVA locations to transport equipment and to perform PC repair, imaging, and deployment services using a personal vehicle.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by responding to Service Requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
• Follows up with customers with call or service request status when status changes (e.g. will be delayed).
• Logs all customer requests and updates calls utilizing the designated call handling and tracking system.
• Initiates escalation as deemed appropriate to ensure management awareness of severe problems or calls that are exceeding documented target resolution times.
• Dispatched onsite support for deployment services.
• Knowledge of all Customer standard products as defined per engagement.
• General knowledge of all non-standard but commonly used products.
• Troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Solid interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to work within a team structure and take part in "mentoring" processes.
• Additional tasks as deemed necessary by manager to meet business requirements.

Desired skills and abilities

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance are required.
• DOE clearance capable, specifically TVA.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and writing abilities.
• Industry knowledge.
• Ability to perform frequent and heavy lifting.

Years of Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in customer relations.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Troubleshooting and Repair.

Knowledge / Training and Certifications

• ISO / Quality Certifications and Educational helpful.
• A+ Certification
• Must be Department of Energy (DOE) clearance capable.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, and Windows 10.
• Multi-Platform PCs including Dell, Apple, and Lenovo.
• High school diploma/GED required; college degree preferred.
