Job Description:


The Department of Asian and Asian American Studies in the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in the Korean language. The position is for up to three years and may be renewed. Salary and benefits are competitive.


The department provides students with a well-rounded education in Asian and Asian American Studies by focusing on the study of the languages, linguistics, literatures, histories, and cultures of China, Japan, and Korea at both the graduate (M.A.) and undergraduate (B.A.) level.

Requirements:


Applicants should have an M.A. or Ph.D. (or ABD) in language pedagogy, second language acquisition, linguistics, or related fields, and possess native or near-native fluency in both their language of instruction and English. Evidence of dynamic and effective/collaborative language teaching is essential. Candidates with ACTFL OPI Testing Certification and/or Computer Assisted Language Learning ability are desirable.
