Summary Sets up and operates small and large laser to apply product identification and date code to surface of by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications and determines sequence of operations.
  • Operate computer to find proper files and upload correct part data.
  • Use computer to locate and orient product ID and date code to part
  • Edit and or create programs on computer
  • Set-up parts, adjust, and run laser
  • Determine correct Z-axis height per print and adjust laser accordingly
  • Determine correct conveyor guide width and adjust rails accordingly
  • Read Process Control for set-up
  • Schedule parts flow to best supply assembly departments on a timely basis
  • Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of lasered product to specifications.
  • Perform daily inspections on equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance per instructions for machine
  • Record required information, either in written or electronic form, pertinent to production, quality, and time records.
  • Perform any other job-related duties per direction of supervisor or lead person.
  • Follow all safety and housekeeping rules, policies, and procedures.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
