Your Opportunity as the Lead Analyst, Plant Finance Services

Become a key member of our plant finance team at our New Orleans location where we brew some of the most beloved Smucker's coffee products. Leverage your accounting and reporting skills to help guide our operations budget, ensuring key performance metrics are met across the facilities. Lead financial analysis to support decision making for plant leadership and our broader plant financial services team.

Location: New Orleans, LA

Work Arrangements: 100% onsite

In this role you will:

• Provide finance support for Gentilly manufacturing plant and Chef manufacturing plant
  
• Prepare monthly journal entries and support financial close
  
• Analyze and reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts
  
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies for assigned responsibilities
  
• Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the annual budget with plant manager
  
• Participate in annual manufacturing standard reviews for assigned location
  
• Review/analyze monthly manufacturing variances
  
• Review/analyze monthly cost center variances
  
• Maintain and document monthly controls for internal audits
  
• Support external audits on quarterly and annual basis
  
• Provide KPI analysis for monthly financial review
  
• Drive key priorities and initiatives
  
• Identify areas of improvements and standardization
  
• Develop plant analytics and visualizations to add value to manufacturing decisions

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  
• 4+ years of Finance or Accounting experience
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
  
• Proven strengths in accuracy and attention to detail
  

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):

• Experience supporting a finance or accounting function for an operations/manufacturing facility
