Job Summary:
Serves in the lead capacity for the Breast Imaging Department. Perform breast imaging exams; mammography or ultrasound. Above average ability to operate breast imaging radiographic and/or sonographic related equipment and instruct others in performance of routine and special breast imaging procedures. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical/clinical staff, students, and as well as patients. Serves in a formal preceptor role to onboard new employees. Demonstrates flexibility and assists with scheduling and staffing including weekend, holidays and call coverage (where applicable). Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Minimum of three years Breast Imaging technologist experience is required. Five years of Breast Imaging technologist experience is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Graduate of an ARRT approved program in radiologic technology is required.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:ARRT (R)(M) registered and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
