Description:
- Full Time (Monday - Friday - 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.)
- Location: Silver Spring, MD
- Supply Chain Management Department
- Reports to Supervisor of Supply Chain Logistics
- Coordinates distribution of medical supplies and equipment to clinical units, includes accurate receipt, storage and issuing, of supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors work assignments for daily completion. Directly assists with training of the Supply Chain Technicians to include documentation of employee performance.
- Resolves supply, receipt and staffing issues as required, including schedule and assignment changes. Additional duties as assigned
- Oversees the movement of medical supplies and equipment, including PAR maintenance and storeroom inventory control via Kanban Dashboard and data analysis. Specific metrics include maintaining a positive trend on fill rates, bin utilization, scan transactions matching assigned pars, and the elimination of unnecessary Express Issues.
- Audits daily receiving transactions to correct, incorrect quantities, missed receipts, over-receipts, and compile Receiver performance data.
- Works with Inventory Controller to review INR reports for non-Receipt issue resolution.
- Works with clinical units to add and delete items to supply stations as requested and indicated by usage analysis.
- Works with Equipment Tech to ensure Ensures all equipment distributed by the Medical Supply department is in efficient working order and properly labeled.
- Works with the Inventory Controller to resolve delinquent backorders and provide suitable alternatives for stock-out items. Confirming that all supply requisitions have been properly processed through the ship and release functions within the MMIS system.
- Maintains handhelds, supply carts, system printers and power jacks in working order, assuring all transactions are properly accounted.
What you will need:Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two years of experience working as a supervisor or team leader in Materials Management, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience working with hospital equipment and supplies.
- Experience with Excel data analysis. Familiarity with ERP business process management software (PeopleSoft) preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Strong math and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and ensure project/task is completed on time and prioritized based on department vision/mission.
Pay Range: $17.89 - $25.04Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
