SARSTEDT, a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection and medical devices, laboratory consumables and instrumentation, seeks a Leadperson Logistics Center for its US Headquarter.

Leadperson Logistics Center (1st shift)

Summary

Responsible for reviewing daily and weekly order schedules, assigning personnel to workstations, communicating expectations, and assisting employees as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.

  • Review the daily and weekly schedule of inbound and outbound activities and assigns employees to workstations accordingly.
  • Evaluate the outbound orders created by the Customer Service Department and runs batches to keep the system performing efficiently.
  • Ensure that all issues on the error lane and replenishment dialogs are addressed appropriately.
  • Verify that all orders are closed and shipped at the end of each day, and that manifests are transmitted.
  • Closely communicate with office clerk to schedule pick-up and delivery of shipments.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management Software to troubleshoot the system and correct minor errors.
  • Train employees on all workstations, discussing problems and suggestions, and looking for ways to improve work processes.
  • Ensure that safety and operating procedures are being followed at all times.
  • Assign employees to cleaning tasks to keep the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Directly leads 7 to 8 employees in the Logistics Center. Carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Other Qualifications
  • Forklift license and valid driver's license required.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Windows-based computers and warehouse management systems
Work environment
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee may be required to assist management or maintenance in troubleshooting the storage/retrieval machine in the high-bay area. This may require climbing a ladder while wearing a harness to a height of up to 100 feet.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
