In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:The Ohio State University Department of Food Science and Technology is seeking a Lecturer to teach 6 hours per week 1.5 CR of the Advanced carbohydrates class, FST 7650, for Spring Semester 2025. The objectives to be taught will cover molecular structure, properties, and functions of carbohydrates. Strong emphasis will be given to starch and non-starch polysaccharides, modification, applications, and uses in the different areas. Students taking the class will gain experience in the structure-function properties of a variety of carbohydrates used in the production of foods and non-food products. This position reports to the Department Chair of Food Science and Technology. The position is responsible for instruction of FST 7650 for students in the Department of Food Science and Technology.
Minimum Education Required
Master's Level Degree with a Major in Food Sciences
Additional Education Desired
Post-Doctorate
Required Qualifications
Required Experience: Excellent communication and presentation skills, and software fluency is required.
Required Teaching experience at the university level is desired and ability to work collaboratively.
