Job Description:
Nebraska Game & Parks is seeking a physically driven and quality motivated individual to join our Operations and Construction crew. If you love working in the great outdoors and take pride in the work that that you do, then come work with our team to make our Nebraska Game and Parks better for everyone to enjoy. As a teammate you will get the opportunity to visit many of our beautiful State Recreation and Wildlife Management Areas.
This permanent fulltime Maintenance Specialist position will range from semi- skilled to skilled construction worker. You will get to work alongside of and learn from our skilled craftsmen on projects that will consist of minor repair work, to large scale construction projects. Job duties will require physical manual labor with the use of both hand and power tools, along with the operation of light to heavy earth moving equipment.
JOB DUTIES:
Replacing or installing new concrete sidewalks or trails. Operate machinery, such as skid steers, wheel loaders, mini excavators, forklifts, dozers, graders and other equipment and tools in the performance of duties. Plan for and perform regular maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery. Remodeling of visitor cabins: Framing new walls, installing siding, shingling roofs, hanging drywall, building cabinets, and installing new windows & doors.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree or the equivalent of two years of vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, welding, or other building trade. Experience in maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations or training may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis as determined appropriate by the agency.
Other: A Class "A" CDL Driver's License will be required within 90 days. Valid driver's license is required.
