The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on machinery, tooling, heat treat systems and equipment while keeping the overall facility in operating condition. Working in conjunction with other departments and department employees. Accomplish needed tasks as delegated by manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, tooling, heat treat systems and equipment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and plumbing issues of all shop equipment.
  • Uses technical manuals to research proper machine operations and to acquire replacement parts.
  • Perform safety checks and maintenance logs as needed.
  • Completes planned maintenance tasks for assigned equipment and janitorial routine in and around the facility.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Actively participate, in all established company health and safety training programs, and comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
      Qualifications:
      • High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) with 5-8 years of hands-on maintenance experience required.
      • Knowledge of CNC Machines, Plating lines, Heat treat equipment and facility operations is a plus.
      • Demonstrated ability to solve highly technical problems.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
      • Strong verbal and communication skills.
