ABOUT THE JOB

The Manager of Performance & Engagement is responsible for cultivating a thriving workforce at Marathon Health by fostering a high-performing and engaged team. This role collaborates with Organizational Development leaders and key stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that support teammate performance, engagement, and development. Specific focus areas include performance management, teammate engagement, change management, and career development. This role plays a pivotal part in driving organizational success by ensuring our teammates receive the utmost support and resources for their professional journey. The Manager of Performance & Engagement reports to the Vice President of Organizational Development and actively participates in other Organizational Development projects and initiatives

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Effectively partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement teammate engagement initiatives and programs to support company objectives.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, facilitation, maintenance, evaluation, and reporting of engagement initiatives, programs, and technology optimization and adaptation.
  • Oversight of teammate survey strategy and results to drive engagement initiatives and address trends and themes identified. Communicate results and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of mentorship programs to support professional growth and enhance a coaching and mentoring culture. Track key performance indicators related to mentorship program success.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement appropriate best practices and tools to assess and measure talent and link performance to business objectives.
  • Utilize tools and systems to identify "ready-to-promote talent" and "at-risk talent."
  • Develop and deliver communication plans to ensure a clear understanding of performance expectations and initiatives.
  • Oversee systems used to support performance management.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support career management programs and initiatives.
  • Oversee change management resources and training initiatives to support change, improve the teammate experience of adapting to changes in the work environment, and prepare and support those affected by change.
  • Support additional professional, leadership, managerial, and team development initiatives with the Manager, Talent Development, and provide coaching and mentoring to others.
  • Utilize data analytics and feedback mechanisms to assess the impact of engagement and performance initiatives.
  • Conduct program needs assessments and track department KPIs to measure the effectiveness of programs.
  • Stay current on best practices in survey design, data analysis, employee engagement, and performance measurement.
  • Effectively administer software tools and systems to manage programs and outcomes.
  • Provide 1:1 coaching and mentoring support.
  • May have management responsibilities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and experience within a Human Resources/Organizational Development environment (Master's degree preferred but not required). 8+ years of experience in workforce development with proven expertise in program design and evaluation for performance programs and employee engagement or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Workday performance management and/or StandOut talent activation systems preferred but not required.
  • Experience with mentorship and coaching/mentorship program management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience using data to drive decision-making.
  • Certified in strengths-based assessment tools and methodologies preferred.

  • Applies creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative approaches and solutions.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills while managing multiple competing projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Passion for building a positive and motivating work environment.
  • Proficient in a variety of multimedia tools, software, and applications.
  • Survey software administration and design experience preferred.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $125,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate's years of experience and/or skill level. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.
