JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety quality procedures and observe the operations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Upholds Site and Corporate Environmental Policies by following all Environmental Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance of "Food Product Safety" & "Product Quality" of the molded product, to meet the expectations of our customers.
  • Follow Food safety programs and GPMs.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts. Participate in Inventories.
  • Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Reads work order or follows instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases or other containers.
  • Maintains and cleans the Warehouse area.
  • Remove product from Production lines safely and properly place product in the Warehouse, Trailer, or other area following safe stacking and storage procedures and practices.
  • Operate and maintain forklift equipment safely.
  • Verify incoming product for damage and quantity, verify against receiving paperwork, reject damaged items, document shortages, and record in receiving log.
  • Inspect trailers for unsafe conditions, leaking, etc., and record on the trailer inspection form.
  • Operate stretch wrapper and banding equipment.
  • Must be able to read and understand the basics of the Bill of Lading.
  • Secures product for shipment as necessary.
  • Understands and follows Hazard Materials Regulations 49 CFR Part 172.704
Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and convey instructions or information. Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide fractions. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and size. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
  • To be capable of productivity in a diverse range of environments
  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts
  • To be able to work in a team setting
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Lift truck license required.
