Your Role:

Coordinate inventory for production process orders following established protocols, along with other tasks to support production and the warehouse. The material logistics specialist position supports both production and warehouse at the MilliporeSigma St. Louis Dekalb site. In this role, they will order materials into Dekalb, monitor material arrival, and help provide prioritization to the warehouse regarding material deliveries to production.

Support Manufacturing and Warehouse Operations:

  • Process transfer orders to move materials into Dekalb and to production staging areas
  • Communicate with other St. Louis warehouses and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to track and monitor material deliveries
  • Use SAP efficiently for inventory management, raw materials, and related tasks
  • Prioritize material pulls for the warehouse based on production process order start dates
  • Create a material summary sheet for the production packet
  • Ensure all materials for a production process order are delivered to the correct staging areas
  • Report issues related to material availability for production process orders through the proper escalation channels
  • Prepare production documentation, including safety-related information
  • Oversee gamma irradiation process orders by preparing all necessary documentation and coordinating the materials both prior to and following their external processing
  • Generate purchase requisitions for internal and external vendors
  • Receive and deliver purchase order materials
  • Resolve accountable receivable issues
  • Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs

Follow Safety and Quality procedures. Support Quality Systems:

  • Follow safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Take the necessary action to resolve any unsafe conditions
  • Participate in required safety and quality training and other related activities
  • ISO 13485/GMP regulated environment
  • Maintain good housekeeping in office and working areas

Who you Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 2+ years' experience in SAP ERP systems
  • 1+ years experience in an ISO 13485/GMP regulated environment
  • Highly motivated and able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Detail oriented
  • Safe chemical handling methods, GMP, safety procedures and OPs
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Mechanical skills including the ability to operate material handling equipment
  • Ability to train others and work in a team setting
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Strong math skills including metrics and conversions
  • Ability to write legibly to ensure documentation is completed per GDP, FDA, and ISO requirements
  • Ability to stand, twist, turn, lift during movement of materials
