Job Description:
Job Overview: A Life Safety Systems MEP Field Engineer supervises the installation and implementation of systems such as fire alarm, emergency lighting, smoke control systems, fire protection and other life safety equipment, providing support to Project Manager on this crucial scope of works.
Responsibilities and Duties:
•Conduct site visit to assist in monitoring and tracking progress of MEP trades.
•Manage progress tracking documents to support project controls and assist in producing monthly updates.
•Evaluate progress of work in place versus project schedule and key performance indicators.
•Assist Project Manager in identifying delays in critical activities and milestones.
•Audit submittal and shop drawing review process and RFIs and identify delays.
•Record and distribute meeting minutes.
•Assist Project Manager in validating payment requisitions.
•Attend certification inspection and testing and document action items and open/closed
comments.
•Practice and promote site safety and OSHA requirements when on project site
•Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making and adhere to New Terminal One PMO code of conduct when performing business related responsibilities.
•Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
•2-5 years of construction management or construction industry experience.
•Understanding of construction methods and construction codes.
•Excellent communication, collaboration and problem solving skills.
•Ability to manage multiple task simultaneously
•OSHA 10 Certified. OSHA 30 preferred
•Proficient in Bluebeam, Primavera and Microsoft Office Suite
