POSITION PURPOSE:
The Project Leader, Network Solutions is a key member of the Information Technology team whose primary mission is to partner with key business and IT leaders for the delivery of all network and telecommunication services that enable key business operations and critical business applications across the enterprise. This position requires expertise in areas operations and support of the network - telecom function including data centers, networking, telecommunications, cybersecurity, compliance and related services. This role maintains relationships with externally sourced network and telecommunication capabilities. As a key member of the information technology department this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring the enterprise network and telecommunications strategy is fully aligned and positioned to deliver compelling business value. Provide a high-level of customer service across the organization with a primary focus on systems availability, performance, reliability, security and established service level metrics.





IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

Experience
* 5+ years of Network Engineering/Architecture experience.
* 3+ years in IT support
* 2+ years in Cisco support is a plus
* Strong hands on experience in the configuration of Cisco products and other communications equipment/suites in a global enterprise environment.
* Experience with the install, configuration, and management of routers, switches, and wireless devices.
* Experience in a broad range of networking tasks including planning, design, test, integration and deployment of high-speed, secure, highly survivable, voice, data - video networks.
* Network certification (CCNP/CCIE) or equivalent experience preferred. Broad knowledge of various system, network, and security practices.
* Must have knowledge of all aspects of IT infrastructure.
* Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
* Experience with infrastructure management tools.
* Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms: e.g. VMWare, Citrix
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft servers, Active Directory
* Experience with cloud-based services: Office 365, SSO, AWS or Azure
* Experience with networking, cloud, server, storage and client technologies: (e.g. SAN, VSAN, IaaS, automation, backup, business continuity, disaster recovery, ITSMS, VoIP, LAN, WAN, SDWAN, clients, mobile, video, VDI and SBC)
Skills
* Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources required for success may not be in direct control of this role
* Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
* Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units

* Understanding of current and emerging network - telecom technologies and practices, and how other enterprises are employing them.

* Expertise in establishing and improving infrastructure operations, as well as other working practices (e.g., ITIL).
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Responsible for technical input into all network - telecom projects and technologies to ensure alignment with overall strategic direction.
* Participate in the development of the IT architecture, technology roadmap and governance related to comprehensive systems modernization strategy. Define a clear direction for core technologies; networking, cloud, server, storage and client technologies: (e.g. SAN, VSAN, IaaS, automation, backup, business continuity, disaster recovery, ITSMS, VoIP, LAN, WAN, SDWAN, clients, mobile, video, VDI and SBC)
* Monitor and continue to improve upon customer satisfaction and service delivery management.
* Participate in the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the network and telecommunication services that supports the company's operations and business applications.
* Establish appropriate service levels and the processes to ensure that KPIs are met.
* Oversee root cause analysis process for related incidents including; problem tracking, RCA templates, post-mortems, and action item follow-up, monthly metrics.
* Defines, develops and manages a comprehensive and integrated ITSM landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines and related toolsets.
* Provides input on what emerging technologies should be incorporated into network - telecom products and services to successfully deliver overall IT strategy.
* Supports the development of a network - telecom sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
* Serves on IT planning and policymaking committees; drives the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics.
* Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Typically, this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

* Working Conditions:
* Typically works in an office environment or occasionally on or around the manufacturing or distribution floor. The noise level is usually moderate.
* Physical Tasks:
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Lifting requirements are typically less than 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.
* Equipment Used:
* Computers, software, hardware, mouse, telephones, and other equipment as necessary. This position may work in a computer room environment where servers and other systems are located. The noise level is usually moderate
* Reports to: Manager, Network - Telecom Services
* Travel Requirements:
* Typically, travel is not required for this position
