Compensation: $27.37 LPN/$34.00 RN (Hourly)

*This candidate will work Monday-Friday, Day shift. 32 hours weekly.
Responsibilities are for the operation of the Medication Clinic and providing nursing coverage to accommodate the region's practitioner schedules. Functions as a Case Manager for consumers served by the medication clinic. Will assist with pre-visit appointments prior to connecting with doctor. Oversight of up to 10 appointments daily. Assisting with residential nurse/residential clients as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
* Plan, organize and coordinate medication clinics
* Perform venipunctures, urinalysis, waived testing, and other procedures
* Stores and administers medications (to include injections) in accordance with the Medication Dispensation, Sample, and Patient Assistance Program Policies
* Provide patient education and instruction
* Screens telephone callers for appropriate referral/triage
* Maintain patients' files, records, and other information
* Adheres to standard precautions, as appropriate, i.e., use protective barriers, handle, and dispose of infectious waste appropriately, proper handwashing
* Follow CLIA and OSHA regulations
* Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of unit facilities and equipment
* Monitor supply of laboratory stock and medical supplies, ensure supplies are ordered when necessary
* Serve as medical/nursing consultant to clinical services staff and persons served
* RN positions may serve roles within the clinic to support quality, safety, education, and compliance
* Assist in keeping quality & regulatory data records up to date
* Maintains BLS Certification
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor
* High School/GED degree required
* Associate/Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: GPN, LPN, GN or RN that must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation
