As an Organizational Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for crafting and delivering quality solutions in business transformation areas, including operating model and organizational design, process optimization, change enablement, talent optimization, and business transformation. You will also be responsible for driving business development (including sales solutioning to meet client needs) and team leadership (including client management, oversight of cross-functional delivery teams, people management, and engagement leadership). We are seeking forward-thinking influencers to join our team to help develop strategic plans and execute them in partnership with cross-functional teams. This role focuses on the people and behavior side of complex business transformation efforts, helping organizations and cultures transform through people-focused strategies.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate, understand, and solution for complex organizational needs
- Take leadership in business development and sales solutioning efforts by understanding client needs, collaborating across internal teams to structure cross-functional solutions (often including both business and technology capabilities), gaining internal alignment on the proposed solution, and preparing and presenting sales materials to clients
- Craft and deliver quality organizational strategy and business transformation solutions, including org and operating model design, process optimization, talent optimization, change enablement, leadership development, learning & training, and cultural transformation; execute on strategy independently and/or lead teams of cross-functional consultants and clients to successful program delivery
- Serve as a People Leader (direct manager) for more junior consultants to help them increase their impact, develop their skillsets, and grow their careers
- Work in multiple disciplines across various industries
- Lead cross-functional consultant and client teams through complex delivery, including budget management, delivery content definition, team performance management, risk mitigation, and securing buy-in of proposed solutions from senior client leadership.
- Build client knowledge, credibility, and meaningful relationships quickly (projects vary in length, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to several months)
- Work with both internal and client teams to integrate organizational strategy, talent, and change activities into overall project plans
- Identify team performance gaps and work to develop and implement corrective actions
- Translate complex information into a clear and meaningful story
What You'll BringOrganizational Strategy: 8+ years of experience leading complex org transformations, including the design and execution of organizational strategy, organizational and operating model design, process optimization, talent optimization, change enablement, and learning & development strategy.
Leading Delivery & Client Management:
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional engagements / project teams and delivering complex solutions across business and technology.
- 5+ years of experience consulting for external clients and leading other consultants. Demonstrated ability to lead challenging client conversations and navigate ambiguity autonomously.
- Excellent workshop design and facilitation skills - ability to lead the design and facilitation of strategic planning sessions, helping align leaders around a shared mission, vision and strategy of a business unit.
- People Management: 3+ years of people management experience in a consulting environment. Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach less experienced team members on client management, navigating through ambiguity, and upskilling in a core capability area.
- Business Development & Management: 2+ years solutioning experience for business development efforts, meeting and exceeding revenue targets ($1M+ annual revenue target). As a leader, you are responsible for selling and solutioning projects supporting the alignment of consultants to project roles, developing consultant skillsets to meet market demands and project needs, and ensuring the long-term viability of the business.
