Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The PT Senior Analyst, Engage the Electorate supports Engage the Electorate grant projects by providing an independent evaluation of evidence related to the quality, effectiveness, and impact of the implementation of the grant.

This is a temporary, grant-funded assignment. Continuation of the assignment is dependent upon continued grant.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Uses a variety of strategic and purposeful data sources (e.g., surveys, interviews, document review, tracking outputs, etc.) to identify project successes and challenges, and provides recommendations for improvement and sustainability

    Systematically collects evidence related to the quality, effectiveness, and impact of the project under review

    Collaborates with the assigned Grant Manager (or equivalent to review and assess existing data collection systems and offers recommendations to enhance program data collection objectives and achieve project deliverables

    Communicates truthfully and openly concerning all aspects of the evaluation, including its limitations

    Records and promptly communicates any changes to the originally negotiated evaluation plans, including the rationale for changes, and the potential impacts on the evaluation's scope and results

    Prepares a comprehensive executive summary in writing with an oral summary upon completion of the evaluation, or as requested

    Provides evaluation methodology, program summary, presentation of formative and summative findings, conclusions, and implications

    Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·Skills in mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) research

·Skills in data analysis software

·Ability to multi-task while working at a fast pace

·Attention to accuracy and detail

·Ability to produce accurate, detailed analytical reports

·Ability to work well under pressure

·Ability to meet deadlines

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

·Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment

·Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position

·Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·Master's degree

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $26.34.
