Location address is 30555 Tomball Parkway, Tomball, TX 77375.Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:The PT Specialist I, Wellness Center serves as a front-line resource in the wellness center to ensure that students and employees follow applicable policies and are safe. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Checks identification cards to verify current status of person to determine eligibility (i.e. possession of a current student or employee ID card, proper shoes and proper clothing) to enter and use the LSC-Tomball Wellness Center (TCWC)Advises potential patrons of dress policy for the use of the facility, rules for the use of specific areas of the facility and related information concerning the facilityRequires all facility users to sign in on the liability/emergency information sheet per visitAssists employees and community users in their completion of the TCWC medical history and liability risk disclaimer documentProvides information concerning the TCWC to prospective users and direct potential community members to the wellness center coordinator and/or support staff personIssues equipment such as basketballs, table tennis balls and paddles, foosballs and towels. Collects driver's license per item checked outNotifies the Wellness Center Coordinator, Health Sciences Chair and/or Police of any problems that occur within the Wellness Center. Secures cleaning services when applicableAt 30 minutes intervals, walks through the following areas to observe use of the facilities by qualified patrons and ensures that an accident has not occurredResponsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to lift 50 lbs for issuing and moving equipmentGood communication skills PHYSICAL ABILITIES:The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipmentInterface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the positionWork is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazardsWork hours vary; flexible schedules

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $11.78
